Powergen has today launched a new capped price domestic energy tariff where prices are capped until the 1st January 2007.
The tariff is available to domestic energy consumers who select both their gas and electricity from Powergen.
Payment is available by monthly direct debit or by quarterly bill.
With the volatility of energy domestic energy prices over the last 18 months it may well be worth considering a "Capped" price product to provide some stability in your monthly payments.

npower has today launched an online domestic gas and electricity tariff named Sign Online.
Sign Online is available throughout the UK to electricity, gas and dual fuel customers. The tariff is available to customers operating an online account paying by monthly direct debit.
With the domestic energy market at its most fluid this new tariff will be a welcome addition and will offer the domestic customer further choice.

Telecom plus has announced increases across the board for all its gas and electricity customers. Worst hit are those living in either the Scottish Hydro-Electric, Northern Electric and SWALEC distribution areas.
Customers residing in these areas will see their average gas and electricity bill increase by over 9.5%.The average across the whole of the UK is 8.21%.
This is the fourth energy company to introduce a significant price increase since the beginning of 2005.
During 2004 we saw frequent and substantial increases to the price of gas and electricity for your home and this year it is not expected to be any different.
